Why I haven’t been blogging

Hey guys! I thought I’d share a quick life-update with you guys as to why it has been so silent on my blog for the past two months. I still have a lot of products ready to review, so I’m trying to get these reviews up in the coming weeks.

As for why I have been so inactive, let me just start off by saying I had a very busy couple of months. First off, I had my student job 4 to 5 days a week right after my exams in June, so the free days were usually spent on sleeping in, resting, or packing for my trip to California. Then I went to Cali for a couple of weeks, but my computer wasn’t working, thus I wasn’t able to write any blogpost or even share many pictures on social media.

I got back and immediately had an exam a couple of days after. I also had a Disneyland Paris trip planned, and now I’m actually getting everything in order for my move to Greece. I’m going to study there for a couple of months. It is scary, a lot of work, but also exciting at the same time. Nonetheless, I’m hoping to write a few blogposts about my life there, maybe some good food places, some recommendations for places to visit, so keep an eye open either here or on instagram.

So, in short, I had a couple of busy weeks but I’m hoping to get back on track with blogposts as soon as possible. Requests are still available through the contact form or directly via saskiaslifestyle@gmail.com . In the meantime, I am still regularly updating my instagram profile, so be sure to follow me there: http://www.instagram.com/saskiaslifestyle

Hope you have a wonderful day, and I’ll talk to you guys soon. X

October challenge week 3: last update

Hey guys! Just a quick check-in here. I’ve been ill again all week, so I haven’t worked out. I spent the entire week in bed and even now I still get tired super easily.

Regarding my challenge (which was to do some sort of sports every day in October), I actually didn’t want to end my challenge early and still do as much sports as possible, but since I haven’t worked out in two weeks and I probably will not be working out a lot in the next week, I decided to end my challenge early. I do plan to re-do this challenge in 2017 and I hope I don’t get ill then!

Anyways, I will keep looking for ways to challenge myself. I am currently doing the 100 days of makeup challenge over on instagram, so be sure to follow me there to see my looks and progress!

Lots of love,

Saskia

October challenge update: week 2

Hey guys! Short update this week, since I have been sick pretty much all week due to allergies. I really wanted to do something, but honestly I have been so incredibly tired all week, so I didn’t have the energy to do much.

I only did something 3 days this week. I did yoga on Saturday and Thursday and since my bike broke I had to walk on Wednesday resulting in a 30 min walk.

I do hope that next week will be better, I definitely plan on going to the gym again but I’m still kind of sick so I’m hoping it fades soon. Also, even though my challenge kind of failed already, I am planning to stick to doing as much sports/gym/yoga as possible still for the rest of the month and re-do my challenge in one of the next months!

How was your week sports-wise? Let me know in the comments!

October Challenge update: week 1

Hey guys! The first week of my October challenge is done and I quickly wanted to tell you what I’ve done each day of the week. I do have to say that by the end of the week, I was really tired and I had a deadline on Friday, hence I didn’t do much sports. However, I still did some yoga so I wouldn’t completely do nothing. But let’s get started and see what I did, shall we?

October challenge

Hello guys! Something a little bit different today. I have been toying with a certain idea of challenging myself to something for a whole month (or a certain amount of days), not only to see if it would make a difference but just overall to challenge myself. Since I’m back at uni now and everything is back to normal, I decided to do an October challenge. If you want to find out more, keep reading!

TBR March

[English below]

1. 13 ways of looking at a fat girl door Mona Awad

Growing up in the suburban hell of Misery Saga (a.k.a. Mississauga), Lizzie has never liked the way she looks—even though her best friend Mel says she’s the pretty one. She starts dating guys online, but she’s afraid to send pictures, even when her skinny friend China does her makeup: she knows no one would want her if they could really see her. So she starts to lose. With punishing drive, she counts almonds consumed, miles logged, pounds dropped. She fights her way into coveted dresses. She grows up and gets thin, navigating double-edged validation from her mother, her friends, her husband, her reflection in the mirror. But no matter how much she loses, will she ever see herself as anything other than a fat girl?

In her brilliant, hilarious, and at times shocking debut, Mona Awad simultaneously skewers the body image-obsessed culture that tells women they have no value outside their physical appearance, and delivers a tender and moving depiction of a lovably difficult young woman whose life is hijacked by her struggle to conform. As caustically funny as it is heartbreaking,13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl introduces a vital new voice in fiction. (Goodreads)
